Timesheet Settings i
What is this?
"Timesheet Settings" is a tool for automatically managing the deadlines for logging and closing worklogs (work time entries). It allows you to define rules that determine how long users can continue to log time for past periods.
This mechanism helps keep data up to date, prevents late adjustments, and ensures the accuracy of time-tracking reports.
How it works
First, select the schedule type — how often the system should automatically block the ability to add worklogs for past days. This can be a weekly, biweekly, or monthly cycle.
Next, choose the day of the week when the scheduler will run. On this day, the system will check the settings and, if necessary, restrict editing of worklogs for the closed period.
Then, specify the number of additional days after the period is closed during which users can still log time. This is useful if you want to allow a short grace period for making final adjustments.
For example, if you set the schedule to weekly, the run day to Monday, and allow 2 additional days, users will be able to log or adjust worklogs for the previous week until Wednesday inclusive, after which time logging for that period will be locked.
