Workflow

What is this?

"Workflow" is a set of statuses and transitions between them that reflect all stages in the lifecycle of a task within a project — from creation to completion. Such schemes allow precise tracking of a task’s current stage and its responsible owner.

If the project uses a "Custom" project scheme, you can manually edit statuses, task types, and priorities. For all other schemes, editing is not available — you can only view the predefined statuses and transitions.

How to add a Workflow

If you have selected a "Custom" project scheme, you can create your own status scheme. To do so, click the Add button. In the window that opens, select the task type to which the scheme will be applied, or choose Any type to use a single status scheme for all task types. If necessary, you can add the required task types on the Task Types tab beforehand.

Next, specify the initial status of the task and the status it can transition to. You can define multiple transitions for a single status. You can also create new statuses directly in the editing window by clicking the Edit icon next to the field.

Then click Add, enter a name, select a category, and optionally provide a description and icon. After saving, the new status scheme will appear in the list and become available for selection. It can be modified or removed at any time.

For faster creation of multiple status schemes, use the Save and Create Next button. It saves the current workflow and allows you to immediately continue creating the next one in sequence.
