Filling out the template

General Rules for Filling

The template must be filled strictly according to the example downloaded from the application. Changing column names, their order, or cell formats is not allowed. All required fields must be completed; otherwise, the file will not pass validation.

When filling out the template, note that the required fields TaskKey, TaskText, ProjectCode, and ProjectText must be provided to create a task. The project specified in ProjectCode must exist in the system. If the project is not found, the import process will offer to create a new project or skip tasks without a valid ProjectCode.

If ParentTaskKey is provided, the parent task must already exist in the system. In addition, ParentTaskKey must not match TaskKey, otherwise the row will fail with an error.

The fields AssigneeID, AssigneeEmail, AssigneeFullName, ReporterID, ReporterEmail, and ReporterFullName are used to identify the task assignee and reporter. The search is performed sequentially by ID, then by email, and, if the previous fields are not provided, by first and last name. If the user is not found, the import process will offer to create a new user, replace them with an existing user, or skip the affected tasks.

The reference fields ComponentText, ProjectReleaseText, TypeText, StatusText, PriorityText, and ResolutionText must refer to existing values in the system. If a value is not found, the import process will offer to create a new value, replace it with an existing one, or skip the affected tasks.

Template Columns Description

ParentTaskKey	Parent task key	Maximum 128 characters. If provided, the parent task is identified by ParentTaskKey. The parent task must exist in the system. The value must not match TaskKey.

TaskNumber	Task number	Integer.
StatusChanged	Date and time when the status was changed	Format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (e.g., 2025-10-28 13:00:00).
OriginalEstimate	Original estimate	Non-negative integer in seconds (e.g., 3600 = 1 hour).
TimeSpent	Time spent	Non-negative integer in seconds.
DateTimeStart	Start date and time	Format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
DateTimeEnd	End date and time	Format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
DateTimeResolved	Resolution date and time	Format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
DueDateTime	Due date and time	Format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
Label	Main label	Maximum 64 characters.

ReporterFullName	Reporter first and last name	Maximum 121 characters. Used if ReporterID and ReporterEmail are not provided.
ProjectCode	Project code	Maximum 60 characters; required field. The project must exist in the system.
ProjectText	Project name	Maximum 60 characters; required field.
ProjectIcon	Project icon	Maximum 64 characters. SAP URI.
ProjectIconColor	Project icon colour	Maximum 32 characters (e.g., rgb(16,16,150)).
IntegrationID	Integration identifier	Maximum 128 characters.
Description	Task description	Maximum 32,767 characters. Plain text and HTML markup are supported.

Before uploading, the file undergoes automatic validation. If required fields are missing or incorrectly filled, the import will not be completed. Values that do not meet the requirements will result in an import error.
