Manage Desktop vs Personalization
What is this?
The Desktop can be modified in two ways—via Setting or Personalization. Both modes allow management of shortcuts, folders, and groups, but they are used in different contexts and are available to different user roles.
Setting enable centralized changes to the Desktop. Any modifications made in this mode take effect immediately for all users in the workspace.
Use Setting when you need to define the overall Desktop structure, create shortcut groups, add new applications, or configure menus. This mode is available only to users with "Full Access" permissions.
Personalization is intended for individual customization. Changes made here affect only the current user and remain invisible to others.
Use Personalization to adapt the Desktop to your personal needs — by adding your own shortcuts or folders, or by hiding elements you don't use. Note that shortcuts cannot be permanently deleted, and items marked as "Mandatory" cannot be hidden. Personalization is available to any user who has access to the Desktop.
