General

What is this?

The "General" tab contains the system’s basic parameters. These settings apply organization-wide unless overridden by individual user or application configurations.

The "Country" parameter determines the country for which primary standards are set — date formats, units of measurement, and currency.

The "Default Language" field sets the main interface language used by all users who have not selected a personal language preference. The "Languages" section allows adding additional languages to enable multilingual support.

Note: Changing the default language does not automatically translate existing text and values in the system. Translation must be done manually. Therefore, changing the default language is not recommended.

The "Corporate Currency" setting defines the primary currency used for financial reporting and calculations in the system. You can also manage the "Currencies" list to use different monetary units when creating documents or reports and perform conversions based on current exchange rates.

Note: Changing the corporate currency does not automatically recalculate existing values into the new currency. Conversion must be performed manually. Therefore, changing the corporate currency is not recommended.

The "Units" field specifies the default measurement system — metric or imperial. Custom units such as liters, kilograms, or pieces can also be defined here.

The "Allow use cache" toggle determines whether data can be stored in temporary memory to speed up page loading. This setting is duplicated in the "Default Application Settings" tab. A detailed explanation is provided in the article "Using Caching".

The "Allow iFrame Creation" switch controls the ability to embed content (e.g., pages, reports, or external applications) via iFrame. An identical option is available in the "Default Application Settings" tab, and its full description is covered in the article "Creating iFrame".
