Subtasks

What is this?

The "Subtasks" tab displays all tasks linked as subtasks to the current (parent) task. Subtasks help break down large or complex pieces of work into smaller, manageable parts. This is especially useful when completing the main task requires input from multiple specialists or a specific sequence of actions.

All subtasks are listed in this tab, where you can monitor their status, priority, deadlines, and progress without leaving the parent task.

To open a subtask, simply click on it — a separate card will open, allowing you to view details and make edits.

Subtasks can be created directly from the parent task card (see "How to Create a Subtask"), or an existing standalone task can be converted into a subtask.

To convert a task into a subtask, select it in any view mode, click the More Options button, and choose Convert to Subtask.

In the window that appears, specify the main (parent) task to which the selected task should be attached. You can also configure the display settings: show only open tasks, include tasks from other projects, or filter by the current workspace.

If you need to change the parent task, perform the same steps and select Change Parent. After confirmation, the subtask will be reassigned to a different parent task.
