Watchers

What is this?

The "Watchers" tab is designed for managing a list of users who follow a task without directly participating in its execution. A watcher is a project member who wants to stay informed about the task’s progress, receive notifications about updates, and, if needed, join the discussion.

Watchers can see all activity related to the task: comments, status changes, attached files, work logs, and other actions. This is especially useful for managers, stakeholders, or subject-matter experts who need to stay informed but are not required to perform actions within the task.

You can add a watcher either in Tasks view via the Watchers tab, or from the full-screen task view by clicking the More Options button and selecting Add Watcher.

A user selection window will then open — only members of the project in which the task was created are available. Added watchers will appear in the Watchers tab within the task card. If necessary, you can remove a watcher using the Delete button next to their name.

The system automatically sends notifications to watchers about all task updates — they don’t need to open the task card to stay up to date.
